No matter how many times a day you open your windows to let the fresh air flow in; you are still living every day in a more or less toxic environment. If you cook in your home on a regular basis, if you are a pet owner or if anyone in the house smokes, then these will all contribute to indoor pollution. Acquiring an air purifier can benefit people of all ages and offer protection by minimizing the risk of sickness.

Indoor pollution is the cause and aggravation of many health issues of today, including asthma, allergies, viruses and respiratory problems. Every house contains mites and allergens many of which we are not even aware of, often the air inside our houses has no chance to recirculate as it does outside and this is why it is more prone to retaining toxins.

The allergens you usually will find inside a home include pollen, mold and pet dander and these can all give people allergies. Asthmatic symptoms are an irritated throat, runny nose and tiredness, all increased by polluted air. There is a fairly easy way to diminish the amount of irritants found in a home and rid it of those stale smells quickly and efficiently. These systems can clean up the air you breathe indoors and also help minimize the risk of allergies, asthma and related diseases and illnesses. They can also assist in reducing the spread of flu and cold viruses by cleaning the air we breathe inside our house.

An Air purifier will decrease the allergens in the air using ionization or a filtration method. This cleaning of the air can benefit all ages, as well as anyone who suffers from asthma or allergies it is also beneficial to the elderly, the very young and those in poor health whose immune systems are not as tolerant. Air purifiers can benefit any family as they can purify the air as well as putting a stop to the spread of germs and bacteria.

There are various types of air purifiers on the market that use different techniques to rid the air of toxins. One popular and efficient type that uses a fan to extract the toxins is a Hepa filter system, whilst another common type are air ionizers that send out negative ions into the air thus eradicating the toxins.

As our knowledge and awareness of why people get allergies and asthmatic symptoms increases so does the demand for air purifiers and they are now seen as an important addition to most family homes. Airfree air purifiers are small in size and can fit in any size home; put in a corner they will hardly be noticed. Airfree air purifiers provides a good allergy help, they have been through many tests and proven to be 100% safe, they are known to be highly efficient in reducing pollutants including tobacco smoke, viruses and bacteria, mould, organic odours, ozone and pet dander, dust mite, skeletons and faeces and pollen.

One of the most fashionable types of air filter systems are Airfree air purifiers, with these models, there will be no filters to change, the purifier will destroy all the toxins completely so there is nothing to be thrown away, other air cleaners only collect the pollutants from the air. Other advantages would be that Airfree air purifiers minimize ozone by a considerable percentage and don’t create any kind of emissions that could be dangerous to our health.

There are various designs to choose from when selecting your airfree air purifiers, contemporary and smart they make no noise as there are no fans in use and you won’t even notice it is in the room. They are lightweight systems and easy to carry from one room to another if required. The system is a low cost method of air cleaning and can be left to operate 24 hours every day, with no noticeable difference to your electricity bill. Additionally there are no bulbs or filters to be replaced as with some models.

Check airfree air purifiers out online along with air conditioning and portable dehumidifier products and see the options available. As well as making your workplace and home a safer and pleasanter environment, the use of air purification systems will help reduce allergy and asthma symptoms you or your children might suffer from. A proficient air purifier will be able to minimize air toxins by nearly 100% and will be a benefit to any home or office.

Environmental researchers have proved that the room air we breathe in is more contaminated than the air outside. In fact the air we breathe during our sleep, relaxation at home or office is more polluted!
This polluted air that makes us fall sick easily.

The ultimate way to solve this problem is getting an air purifier. Air purifiers are helpful to people suffering from asthma and allergies due to pollen grains, mold spores, pet dander, microorganism and bacteria.

Ultra-violet air purifier destroys chemical and biological contaminants like viruses, mold, allergens, cigarette smoke, bacteria, diesel fumes, pet odors, construction dust and many other airborne contaminants.

Asthma is a condition characterized by breathing difficulties caused by narrowing of the airways (bronchioles and bronchi) leading to the lungs.

Persons Affected:
It occurs in 3-5 percent of all people at some time in life. It affects all age groups except newborn babies and affects both the sexes equally.

Symptoms:
The main symptoms are breathlessness, wheezing cough usually getting worse at night. In a severe attack, the breathing rate increases sharply and pulse rises. The person is not in a position to speak due to breathlessness. The skin may turn blue due to lack of oxygen, known as cyanosis.

Causes:
The usual cause is bronchiole hypersensitivity to foreign substances in the air. The foreign substance could be pollens, air borne pollutants like vehicle emissions, animal fur, smoke, smog, cigarette smoke, ozone, perfumes, hairspray et.
There is a worldwide increase in the number of asthma patients due to increase in the smoke levels in the cities.

Treatment and Role of Air Purifiers:
The day to day treatment involves management to avoid the trigger which triggers the asthma attacks. A person spends most of his time indoors and presence of purified clean air can help a lot in preventing triggering of asthmatic reaction. An air purifier works by removing environmental triggers like airborne allergens contaminants, smoke and smog.

A person cannot avoid exposure to polluted air but he can certainly control the environment in his dwelling or work place. Further an air purifier provides relief to the lungs of an asthmatic person by providing clean air so that he can breathe easily.

An air purifier works by cleaning the air indoors and prevent triggers like smoke, smog, pollen, exhaust fumes etc reaching inside the room. Care should be taken to avoid air cleaners which produce ozone, which rather than reducing asthma may trigger an asthma attack.

One of the best ways a dog day care facility can make a good first impression is by smelling fresh. Here are 3 reasons an air purifier can help.

Our noses probably tell us before our eyes whether something is clean or not. We may not be able to see the problem, but we can sure smell it. The smell of pet urine odor is a real turn off and is one of the first indications clients have of how well or how not so well you will take care of their dog.

Very few, if any pet owners, will choose to leave their beloved family dog in a facility that doesn't smell clean. A bad smelling facility will make it unacceptable right from the start. And they certainly would not want their pampered pooch to cause their home to smell foul as well.

And even more than the smell, emotionally it doesn't feel good to leave their companion and friend in a place that isn't nice. Continuous and effective filtration of pet urine and other odors will keep your air smelling fresh and clean 24 hours every day.

When dogs are kept in close proximity to one another, they stand a greater chance of developing diseases that spread easily from one dog to another. Because the dogs are mostly kept in an enclosed area, airborne viruses and bacteria spread easily from one dog to the next on airborne particulates. Viruses and bacteria attach to airborne particles such as dust, mold and mildew spores, hair, fur, and dander and make it easy for the dogs to inhale or ingest these disease spreaders.

Removing these airborne germs before their can cause problems means your canine clients will stay healthier, and always be ready to come in and play when they are dropped off each morning, and your human clients will be reassured that their dog is receiving the best possible care at your facility.

And even though filtering the air is an excellent step to take to preserve the health of the dogs, clean air is also good for you, your human clients, and the people who work in your facility; it's also good for you and your staff who will spend at least 8 hours or more a day breathing the air. Filtering the air with an air cleaner that is designed to remove pet pollutants is a must regardless of how big or where your dog day care facility is located; and whether it has a staff of 2 or 10 or more, you'll have an easier time attracting quality staff if they know they will work in a place that not only cares about the dogs, but about their working conditions too.

Staff members that are warm and caring with both 2 and 4-legged clients will attract new clients and make repeat customers out of old clients.

If part of your student's college experience includes living in a dormitory, they will need help insuring that the air quality in their dorm room is healthy.

Dorm rooms can often be old, dusty, and have antiquated heating and air systems, all of which can keep airborne particles ready to be inhaled or ingested. This is definitely not good for anyone, particularly those who suffer from allergies, asthma or other chronic respiratory conditions.

Dormitories that are new or newly renovated are often full of paint smells, fumes from adhesives used when installing new tile or linoleum. And even though every attempt is made to control dust from new construction or renovation, it sometimes takes months for the dust to literally settle.

Those can be perfectly miserable months if your student has any sensitivity to these pollutants. And a roommate that uses products that are fragrance-rich or insists on burning incense can add in an unpleasant way to the mix of irritants in the air.

Fortunately, you can gain greater control over your student's air quality by continually filtering the air. A portable dorm room air purifier is your first and best defense, and it needs to have the following 6 features if it is to be effective.

1. Light Weight - It should be light enough to carry easily from one side of the room to the other or across campus in case of a room change. Wheels should be an option to further facilitate portability.

2. On Duty 24 Hours - A purifier with a split capacitor motor insures that it can operate safely 24 hours a day and keep up with both the expected and unexpected pollutants in the air. This continual coverage assures that your student will always walk into a room that is comfortable to be in because airborne pollutants have not been allowed to build up while they were away.

3. Low Maintenance - A college student is probably not going to be interested in spending free time maintaining an air purifier. And even if they were, filter maintenance seems like such a misuse of valuable time. An effective unit should be able to take care of your student and itself without constant management. Avoid those cleaners that require washing, charging, spraying, or frequent filter replacement. They drive up the cost, and even if your student is willing to do the maintenance, it will add considerably to the amount of time when the filter is not filtering the air.

4. Long Lasting Filter - Look for a cleaner that only needs its filter changed once every 5 years. This will take most students through their college career and beyond. This means if you buy right, you'll only need to buy once, and that in itself saves time and money.

5. Flexible Placement - Dorm rooms are often cramped with not much floor space after the prerequisite beds and desks. So an air purifier that can be placed as close as 6 inches to any surface makes it easier to live with. It should also be able to operate high or low in the room to be the most accommodating.

6. HEPA Filtration - With the Swine Flu, and other viruses so easily able to spread through the air, it makes good sense to select a purifier with a high efficiency particle arresting (shortened to HEPA) filter that can eliminate airborne bacteria and viruses as small as .3 microns.

There's nothing quite like having your hair done in a beauty salon. It's a relaxing and enjoyable way to give a little attention to you. If you are the owner of a hair salon, that's exactly what you want your customers to think when they envision your shop.

The best way to keep the beauty shop experience a good one is to make sure that the smells and odors from the chemicals that are used are eliminated. Cleaning up the air for aesthetic reasons makes it an option, filtering the air to avoid serious health issues makes it a must. Here are the top 5 reasons why you need an air purifier now.

Hair Spray-Keeping the style in place with hair spray often seems like a rite of passage for those getting their hair done. Not only does it hold the style, but the smell for some says "professionally done".

Evaporating volatile organic chemicals from many of the products used in your salon are at the root of poor air quality problems, and can make the air in your shop hazardous. This can trigger unpleasant symptoms (sneezing, watering or burning eyes, scratchy throat, headache, and nausea) in those who suffer from asthma, allergy or chemical sensitivity.

Having a client suffer this kind of reaction at your shop would make for a memorable experience, but not the kind that would make a repeat customer. And because many more people are aware of the effects that poor indoor air quality can have on their health, they will only frequent salons that smell fresh and clean.

Smoke-Many like their hair pressed, and or curled with a hot iron. And even though it makes for great looking hair--smoke is smoke whether it's from a curling iron or a cigarette. And the bottom line is it is unhealthy to breathe.

And speaking of tobacco smoke, if you still allow smoking in your salon (this could be reducing your bottom line as many people only patronize smoke-free businesses) filtering the air would minimize the smell of it and the hazardous effects of second hand smoke for everyone in the shop.

Chemicals from Perms and Dye-Lots of people who have straight hair want curly, and lots of have curly want straight, people that have black hair want red, those that have red want brown, and those who have brown want blond. So coloring and perming agents aren't going anywhere any time soon.

Aprons protect your clothes and those of your clients, and gloves protect your hands, but safeguarding everyone's health with an air cleaner not only makes coming to your salon a good time, but safe for your clients as well.

Nails and Toenails-If you pride yourself on being a full service salon that offers manicures and pedicures, you have probably seen quite an increase in your customer base. But you have also exponentially increased the number of airborne chemicals being released into the air each time these services are performed.

Filing of artificial nails releases thousands of fine particulates into the air, and nail polish, adhesives, hardeners, and other products used are high in volatile organic chemicals that evaporate into the air easily. Most of these have been shown to be hazardous to your health, and long term inhalation of these chemicals often lead to serious health problems.

Aesthetically, it just doesn't smell good and does nothing to add to a positive beauty shop experience. Removing these airborne pollutants puts your mind at ease about maintaining your good health and the health of your customers and those who work in your shop.

Your Health-We've talked about your customers' well being, now let's talk about you and your associates. Even if your customers came every day, they would only be exposed to a fraction of the chemicals that you are. And if you have a shop that has a number of other beauticians working in it, it doesn't take a mathematician to see that the number of chemicals you are all exposed to daily is phenomenal-and not in a good way.

Not only is clean air something that your clients deserve, but that you and every one working in your salon deserves too. A high efficiency particle arresting (HEPA) air purifier that is designed to remove airborne chemicals needs to be put to work in your shop today to improve air quality and everyone's chances of staying healthy.

This year if back to school means sending your baby off to college and dormitory living, one of the most important things you can pack is an air purifier.

With Swine Flu outbreaks continuing to occur on college campuses, extra protection for your child seems prudent. Taking control of the air quality with constant filtration gives your student control over air quality that would normally not be an option. And cleaner air means increased chances of a healthier year. Choose these 5 features to insure that your student has the best purifier and the most protection.

Compact-Dorm rooms are well known for their lack of space, so an effective air cleaner needs to take up as little floor space as possible and be flexible in its placement in the room. That means it needs to be able to function effectively on the floor, up on a shelf, and should need only about 6 inches clearance from any wall. Avoid those units that must be placed in the middle of the room or you'll find it will simply be shoved to the side lines and never used.

Rugged-Steel housing is a good idea for several reasons, the first being the most obvious-its tough stuff. Secondly, a good air purifier needs to operate 24 hours a day to keep up with airborne pollutants like dust, pollen, mold and mildew spores, odors, bacteria and viruses. Choosing a cleaner made of steel will avoid the noxious off gassing that often occurs with plastic units when the motor heats up the housing.

Low Maintenance-The last thing you want your student to have to do is to spend time maintaining the air purifier. The pace of college life can be hectic. So there's not a lot of time for maintaining an air cleaner. A purifier that needs a lot of maintenance will probably go unused, leaving your student unprotected. Filters that need to be washed, sprayed, charged or changed frequently should be avoided at all costs. Instead choose a purifier that contains a canister with multiple filters that are designed to last all through their college years (5 year filter life) and needs only an occasional vacuuming on the outside.

Light Weight-You remember your college days, and so you know that furniture gets moved around a lot. In order for the cleaner to be a true companion for your student's health, it needs to be able to go with the flow and be light enough to move where it's needed that week.

Durable-Opt for a purifier that has a substantial warranty of at least 5 years so that you know that it will last. Just knowing that the manufacturer isjyijiuo willing to stand behind the unit for 5 years is an indication that it is well made, and probably means it most likely will last and not need repair. But if it doesn't, you've got an ace in the hole.

A well made air purifier with these features should cost less than 20 cents per day to operate. Knowing your student is breathing the cleanest air possible-priceless.

Air purifiers come in a standard type that can be put to work for a variety of particles, or in specialized types that are specialized for a particular kind of air particle. Some of the advanced air purifiers can be: allergy air purifiers, smoke air purifiers and mold air purifiers. Individuals have different requirements for air purifiers but there is one thing they all have in common â?“ they do the job.

Some of these models come in portable versions to make it simple to travel with for business or personal reasons. So they are very handy for individuals who have allergies in various parts of the globe. Air purifiers, are so compact that they can be put throughout the home, in common rooms, just in the bedrooms, or wherever it is required. If a love one is suffering from allergies for example, they can keep a small air purifier in their room only. Or, if the home is located in an area that gets brush fires, the family can share a smoke air purifier in the living room and/or kitchen. Air purifiers are essential for those who suffer from chronic allergies and/or other lung and respiratory problems. Air purifiers, no matter the type, reduce harmful contaminants from the area by sterilizing the air throughout the house. Since air purifiers come in many kinds, they can be added, large and small, to optimally clean air over larger portions of the house.

Air purifiers come in all different types, sizes, and specialties. Though most look very modern and sharp, it is important that you take a look and shop around before you decide on one. Most air purifiers on the market today can purify the air for rooms spanning between 200 and 1,000 square feet. These units also vary in wattage, and therefore the monthly costs can vary significantly. Furthermore, air purifier units come with covers to block the integral components of the unit. There are also various kinds of monitors with the most common being LED indicators and menus; at the outset, these units came only with dials. Stores today sometimes give, a no charge, a unit that is smaller, with the purchase of a standard sized one.

Whether it is for you or your whole family, air purifiers clear the air of nasty dust, and harmful contaminants and then create a sterile atmosphere to breathe in. Being able to breathe is extremely critical for those suffering from ailments. This ability is also key to those living in areas where the air quality is low . Not being able to breathe the right way can cause medical conditions that vary in severity. People who have regular breathing problems such as Asthma need these machines to breathe well. Getting an air purifier for you or the family can be the most valuable purchase you have ever made.

Even though there are a couple dozen controversies about the effectiveness and safeness of ozone air purifiers, people keep buying them and using them as if their life depended on it. Some people go as far as suggesting that ozone air purifiers are more dangerous to your body then all the other smelly air particles you would breathe in without the air purifier.

If that is true, then why are people still crazy about them? If they are really that bad, then why in the world do so many people swear by them and refuse to live without them? I think the answer to that is simple: Results and experiences will speak for themselves. Though there are some dangers to ozone air purifiers, if used within safe boundaries, they can greatly improve a persons way of life.
An example very similar to this would be coffee. They come out with a few good reasons why one should not drink coffee, yet a little later they come out with a bunch of reasons why a reasonable amount of coffee is good for you. So basically the conclusion to that is: Whatever you do, know the safe boundaries and stick to them. Do not cross them.

Having said that, what are some of the things to be aware of when purchasing and using an ozone air purifier? First off, when using it in an area where there is little to no outside air, limit the length of time you have it on. Too much ozone can be just as bad as the chemicals you are trying to get out of the air in the first place. It can cause your lungs to become sore and even give you a sore throat, so the best thing would be to have it on while not in the area. Especially if it is an enclosed area. Secondly, try to get an ozone air purifying machine that also has an ionizer built in. Not only will the ionizer assist in creating a better, ozone fuller atmosphere, it will also help clean out actual toxic, smelly and smoky air particles.

Most people are not aware of the many toxins they breath in at home. Asthmatics tend to be more aware of these things because of the fact that they simply cannot breath when the air around them is polluted, and that is why they are usually the first ones to swear by the positive results of the ozone air purifier. Definitely something everyone should consider using in home and office.

UV also known as Ultra Violet, works by using radiation. Sounds odd right? Well, in a way I suppose it is. But note this, the same radiation that kills germs, pollen, bacteria, smoke, is not the same kind of radiation that will hurt you. Its a smaller, controlled substance which allows the germs to flow into the air purifier and get zapped with the UV ray light. These UV rays wont even irritate your skin or anything like that. The UV light tube is specifically made to be used only for destroying the germs in and around your home.

Most of these purifiers are quite small, they will clean either one to two rooms or one floor of your residence. However, I have seen a few on the market that purify the air in you entire home. These units are a little smaller than an air conditioner you place in your window and definitely not as bulky. I like the UV purifiers because they always get rated really highly by people, but they wont cost you an arm and a leg. This is one of the most important aspect for me. Im completely willing to pay a few hundred for something that will help me, but for me, the product has to have gotten some good reviews from the consumers. Its a good idea in general to always look for reviews on products before buying anything online or off!

One of my favorite Ultra Violet air purifiers is the Sharper Image SI830 UV Ionic Air Purifier. It costs about $150 but again, it was well worth it. Personally I love anything Sharper Image, and anything I have ever bought that was Sharper Image has always been of high quality! This machine is designed to reduce germs in the air, to do this, it features a built in Philips Germicidal UV-C Sterilamp! Here are a few specs included in this incredible machine:

- Next-generation Ionic Breeze has a stronger electrostatic field and 3 charged collection blades separated by 2 driver blades, improving its particle capture rate
- Ionic Breeze technology moves air silently, without the annoying noise of a fan
- Dual-purpose air purifier reduces bacteria, mold spores and viruses in the air it cleans, using germ-killing UV-C light
- Only 13 watts to run 24/7 (plus 15W Sterilamp) and no filters to replace means you save money
- Ozone-Guard on front grill converts by-product ozone to oxygen.
- Includes Philips UV-C Germicidal Sterilamp with 8,000-hour effective life
- Dual-purpose air purifier reduces bacteria, mold spores and viruses in the air it cleans, using germ-killing UV-C light.

There is nothing more frustrating than having allergies act up while spending time inside the house, but unfortunately because of the polluted world we live in, it is an inescapable reality for a lot of us asthma victims. Lets face it; No matter how dust free your house is, there is always going to be annoying little pollutants floating in the air, waiting to irritate someone. Be it pet odors, cooking odors, cigarette smoke or any other air contaminating odors you commonly find in occupied homes. Because of this problem, they invented all kinds of fancy technology to eliminate all the, should I say - stinky, contaminated bacteria.

Though often questioned and many times criticized, you start seeing all kinds of these air purifiers hit the market. Many manufacturers have started to produce them and its amazing how quickly they have started to become a more common household product. For a long time price was a major issue with a lot of folks, but because of the competition within the market place, you can get a reasonable air purifier for next to nothing. Perhaps the best place to look for one would be online. eBay is loaded with them and they are cheap too. The only downside is the shipping costs but hey, you never had to leave the comfort of your home to get it. Convenience comes at a price and in this case, it might even be cheaper than buying one at your local electronic outlet.

Now the question: There is a hundred different ones out there, which one should I get? They come in various shapes and sizes and each one might have a special characteristic to it, but if you get a new one (or a fairly recently manufactured one) even the basic one will be just fine and will do the job.

Smoke Relief:
IQ Air Health Pro Compact Air Purifier $250
This might be one of the smaller more compact systems available when it comes to allergy and asthma type systems, but it is still a high performance particle control systems. This is a terrific purifier for smaller houses and makes it more convenient for small apartments and offices as well. The Health Pro effectively removes every type of air pollutant with the same high efficient as the larger models. The Hepa filters are certified to remove 99.5% of all particulates!
